Every few days I am highlighting individuals who recently received my Community Recognition Award for their service to Etobicoke Centre. Today I would like to highlight the work of Barbara Lewin for Outstanding Volunteer Service to Seniors.
Our next recipient offers a very unique volunteer role to her community. Barbara Lewin, assists tenants in her building, many of them seniors, with their Income Tax returns, offering help whenever possible, even calling CRA with the taxpayer in an attempt to solve a particular tax problem.
She will also efile returns on the tenants behalf, or pick up and deliver them at her own expense. Barbara is greatly appreciated for the unique and very valuable role she provides to her community.
