Recently, I was pleased to meet with Daphine Marunga, the executive director of the Amara Girls Initiative, a not-for-profit organization in Etobicoke Centre.
The Amara Girls Initiative is a community-based, women-led organization committed to advancing the wellbeing, safety, and empowerment of youth and women, particularly those experiencing marginalization, exclusion, and heightened vulnerability.
