Every few days I am highlighting individuals who recently received my Community Recognition Award for their service to Etobicoke Centre. Today I would like to highlight the work of Shauna Beaudoin, for Outstanding Service by Employees or Professional Staff.

Shauna Beaudoin is the Director, Programs and Information for the Charitable Organization called Hydrocephalus Canada.
Hydrocephalous Canada’s offices are located in Etobicoke Centre.

Hydrocephalous is a medical condition in which fluid builds up in the ventricles of the brain and can cause the individual serious medical problems. It is estimated that 120,000 Canadians are living with Hydrocephalous.

The organization, Hydrocephalous Canada, also represents the Canadian community of people suffering from Spina Bifida.
Hydrocephalous Canada offers educational and support programs for people with these two medical conditions and many people in Etobicoke Centre benefit from these services. Hydrocephalous Canada also awards scholarships and supports medical research related to these conditions.

Shauna Beaudoin has been associated with the organization for over twenty years and now serves as the chief operating officer,Shauna is a dedicated and tireless worker in directing this organization in all its aspects.

Additionally, Shauna is innovative in developing new programs and approaches to benefit this community of people who are living with hydrocephalous or spina bifida.

Thank you Shauna!
