Celebrating the passing of the bill I sponsored in the House of Commons!

MPs have voted 313-0 in favour of the bill I sponsored in the House of Commons!

I was proud to sponsor Bill S-210, shepherd it through the House of Commons, and help guide it to passage.

The bill will establish September as Ukrainian Heritage Month across Canada.

It will allow us to celebrate the significant contributions of Ukrainian Canadians in helping to build Canada into the best country in the world.

And at a time when Russia is waging a genocidal war against Ukraine and trying to erase Ukrainian identity and culture, this bill is another opportunity for Canada to show that it stands with Ukraine.

Thank you to all MPs who supported this legislation and to Sen. Stanley Kutcher for introducing this bill in the Senate.
