On Saturday, at Centennial Park in Etobicoke Centre, thousands of people gathered to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day.
As we speak, the Ukrainian people are fighting to defend that independence, but they are also defending the rest of Europe and NATO. Ukraine’s victory is therefore vital to Canada’s security, so we must stand with the Ukrainian people until they win.
Our government’s support for Ukraine has been unwavering. Under Prime Minister Mark Carney, Canada continues to be a global leader in supporting Ukraine.
