On Friday we celebrated Marie Rosa who is the oldest living person in Canada at 110 years young! Marie lived in Etobicoke Centre for decades and her family still does. She now lives at The Village of Humber Heights, Schlegel Villages, in Etobicoke.
I was delighted to present Marie with certificates from both Prime Minister Mark Carney and from me in recognition of this extraordinary milestone. Her remarkable life is a testament to strength, resilience, and the importance of family and community.
It was wonderful to join Marie’s family, friends, and loved ones in celebrating this very special occasion and reflecting on the many memories, experiences, and changes she has witnessed throughout her life.
