As co-chair of the Parliamentary Friends Association of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Canada, I was honoured to speak at the 48th annual Jalsa Salana convention and to meet with National President Lal Khan Malik along with my caucus colleagues. This year, over 24,000 people attended the convention.
The community’s motto, ‘Love for All, Hatred for None’ is not simply an ideal, but what the community practices every day by focusing on peace, unity and supporting charitable causes that support Canadians.
It was wonderful to reconnect with friends and community members. My congratulations to the organizers for fostering this unity-filled gathering.
