Our unprecedented investments to increase the housing supply and bring costs down

Making housing more affordable is a priority for me and for our new government. We are making unprecedented investments to increase the housing supply and bring costs down.

Recently, I toured the construction site of new units being built right here in our Etobicoke Centre community beside the Kipling Station transit hub.
Canada's Housing Plan at a glance:
1. Building more homes (increasing supply): Bringing down construction costs, getting cities to allow more homes to be built, transforming how we build them, and growing the workforce to get the job done.
2. Making it easier to rent or own a home: Making it easier to rent or own a home and ensuring every renter or homeowner can retain their home.
3. Helping Canadians who can't afford a home: Working to end chronic homelessness and building more affordable housing for students and seniors.

I will continue to do all I can to help make housing more affordable and we will continue to take action to build more homes, boost supply, and bring costs down.
