Etobicoke has lost one of its greats. Kirsty Duncan grew up in our community and had a distinguished career as a scientist, academic and Member of Parliament.
She represented Etobicoke North for many years in the House of Commons and championed a range of causes including those related to science, women and safety in sport.
Kirsty was kind to all those she encountered and she channelled that kindness into her work with and on behalf of people in Etobicoke every day.
My sincerest condolences to her husband Sven and to her entire family.
She will be missed.
