Every few days I am highlighting individuals who recently received my Community Recognition Award for their service to Etobicoke Centre. This week I would like to highlight the work of Itishree Mishra.
Itishree has been volunteering for a non-profit cultural organization CANOSA (Canada Odisha Society of the Americas) for the last 20 years. She received the Ontario Volunteer Award in 2015.
In her volunteer work she prepares children, ages 5 to 15, in cultural drama, dances and songs. She has been volunteering in various local religious and cultural organizations since 2005.
Itishree joins the community together preparing food in her local temple.
Doing all this, she also works with the Toronto District School Board teaching special needs students from Kindergarten to grade 8.
Thank you for all you do for the Etobicoke Centre community!
