Why have the Conservatives under Pierre Poilievre abandoned Ukraine? Listen-in to my response with Moore in the Morning on NEWSTALK 1010.

In short: Poilievre has sold out to the far-right MAGA pro-Putin wing of the Conservative party and to the pro-Putin PPC.
In more detail:
1. There is a far-right MAGA movement in Canada just like the one that has taken over the Republican party in the USA that believes pro-Putin propaganda & doesn’t support Ukraine. Pierre Poilievre relied heavily on this far-right MAGA coalition to get elected leader of the Conservative Party so this movement has a lot of influence on him and on the Conservative party.
2. To win the next election Pierre is seeking to consolidate the PPC vote. The PPC has always been pro-Putin and anti-Ukraine, so to win the PPC vote Poilievre refuses to support Ukraine.

It is plainly obvious - a vote for Pierre Poilievre is a vote against Ukraine and against Canada's national security.
