Continuing to work at the federal level to ensure we stop car thefts and break-ins in our community

Today, I attended the auto theft summit in Ottawa organized by our government to convene partners from across local, provincial and national jurisdictions. Discussions focused on finding solutions to the growing challenge of auto theft in Canada and coordinating our collective efforts to address auto theft.
At the end of the Summit, participants endorsed a Statement of Intent, committing to working together to combat auto theft and finalizing a joint action plan.
I have been working hard at the federal level to ensure we stop car thefts and break-ins in our community.
Criminals need to know that crime won't pay and that they will face consequences when they break the law and violate the safety of our homes and our community.
