On Holodomor Memorial Day, at the Holodomor Memorial in Toronto, I was joined by Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland and MP James Maloney as we commemorated the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor - the famine genocide in which millions of Ukrainians were starved to death by Joseph Stalin’s Soviet regime.

Right now, it is happening again. Russia is committing genocide in Ukraine again. The only way to stop this is for the world to help Ukraine liberate all the territories Russia has occupied.

If we don’t do this, countless more Ukrainians will be the victims of genocide.

If we don’t do this, we will show that we did not learn the lessons of the Holodomor.

If we don’t do this, we will have lost the right to ever again use the words “never again".
