Climate Change and major weather events are having an enormous impact on higher food costs in Canada and around the world. If we do not act on climate change, this will only become worse.
At the Standing Committee on Finance, I asked an expert on food distribution, security and safety what the impact of climate change is on food prices.
The response in summary: Climate Change is having a huge impact on the price of certain foods. If we do not act on climate change, prices will continue to rise and the list of foods impacted will only expand.
