Today, I was proud to join the Hon. Mary Ng, Canada’s Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development to introduce the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) modernization legislation in the House of Commons. This free trade agreement will allow for greater trade between Canada and Ukraine and create economic opportunities in both countries.

Canada will support the Ukrainian people until they win. A decisive victory means that Ukraine must win the war and that it must also win the peace, which includes Ukraine rebuilding its economy. This free trade agreement between our countries is an important step in doing just that.
